About the House
Our cottage is just 1.5 miles from the village of Henanbihen in a small, farming hamlet just 8 miles from the coast and 30 minutes west of St Malo. Henanbihen is a quiet village with two boulangeries, a small supermarket, post office, chemist and one or two other shops as well as two café/bars. Details of larger towns nearby can be found at nearest towns.
The cottage has been renovated to make a family home and forms an L
shape around the courtyard with the adjoining barn.
Ground Floor:
Large open plan living room with dining area.
Fireplace
with wood-burning stove (logs in the barn).
Calor gas heater if there's a chill. Radio/cassette/CD player.
Cupboards with toys, games, and books. Maps and guides are also on
the bookshelf including recommendations for things to see and do, different
beaches (sandcastles and surfing) and family friendly places to eat.
There's
an archway to the fully fitted kitchen with calor gas
oven / hob, microwave,
kettle, fridge, coffee maker, toaster. All
cutlery, crockery and utensils are provided.
Shower room with basin, toilet and shower and electric wall heater.
The house has a highchair, baby bath, potty, and a buggy for those who
require it!
First Floor
Two large bedrooms – one double with cot, one twin bedded. Both rooms have electric heaters.
Master bedroom with ceiling in the eaves and timbers dating back 200 years!
Second bedroom with twin beds, drawers and electric heater. A desert island mural has now appeared on one wall!
Barn: Half of
the barn is a games room with a table tennis table. The other half is used for storing bikes (2 adult), garden
chairs, the BBQ and the wood.
Outside: The courtyard is very sunny and looks out over fields. There is parking for two
cars in the driveway.
Maximum Occupancy is 4 plus cot (unless otherwise agreed).
Changeover Day is Saturday. It may be possible to change this off-peak, but not during July and August.
Arrival Time is
4.00.p.m. The house will be cleaned
between lets and will be ready for you by then.
Duvets and Pillows are provided.
Linen (towels / duvet covers / pillow cases) can be provided for an extra charge
if required.
Departure Time is 10.a.m. Please
leave the house and contents clean and tidy as you found them.
